WGS Systems, LLC, is looking for Engineering Technicians with varying experiences and backgrounds in aerospace and defense electronic system and product design, and fabrication, to join our company in Frederick, Maryland.
The primary responsibilities of our engineering technicians are:
Airborne platform integration, including mounting interfaces, cooling provisions and cable fabrication and routing
Mechanical installation of electronics components and chassis into products and systems
Integrate imagery, radar, and signal collection sensors
Install and operate various military and civil voice and data link radio systems
Close interaction with aircraft and multiple engineering disciplines and providing design guidelines for installation and maintenance.
Provide system integration support to prime contractors
Conducting laboratory and field testing of components and systems
Line replaceable unit troubleshooting and debugging
Test results data collection and plan/report writing
Minimum Requirements:
AA technical degree with at least 4 years of applicable experience or military or equivalent technical training with at least 6 years of applicable system development experience.
Ability to work with minimal supervision and support system prototyping, integration, and testing activities.
Experience with electrical and mechanical installations along with rack integration.
Experience with electronics soldering, cable fabrication, and mechanical installation.
Have proficiency in the use of electronics and mechanical tools.
RF and electrical test equipment and measurements experience.
Prior experience with ground and airborne systems. WGS Systems, LLC specializes in electronic product development and in the integration of sensor and processing systems for prime contractors and the government, with focus in airborne sensor and mission systems integration.
Ability to read and work with schematics and wiring diagrams, as well as mechanical drawings.
Candidate must be a United States citizen and will be required to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
