WGS Systems, LLC, is looking for RF Communications Specialist with varying experience and
with backgrounds in military and defense communications radio system planning, deployment,
testing and operations to join our company. Primary work activities will take place in Frederick,
Maryland with occasional travel supporting fielding and test events.

Successful candidates will have prior experience with radio communications and networking for
military and defense applications. Communications domains include terrestrial, airborne, and
satellite with applications in both wideband and narrowband data and voice. Networking can
include mesh/MANET, point-to-point, and point-to-multipoint. The candidate should have
strong working knowledge in propagation, RF performance planning and antenna systems.

Key Responsibilities/Duties Include:

  • Install and operate various military and commercial voice and data radio systems
  • Radio and network system planning and analysis
  • Deployment planning for radio systems and networks
  • Planning and conducting communications systems testing
  • Configuring military and commercial radio systems for operations
  • Close interaction with customer personnel during test and deployment events
  • Provide communications integration support to prime and sub-contractors
  • Conduct laboratory and field testing of communications components and systems
  • Unit-level troubleshooting and debugging
  • Test results data collection and support of analysis
  • Provide weekly status updates to Leadership

Qualification requirements:

  • Candidate must be a United States citizen and will be required to maintain a
    government SECRET security clearance
  • Military/technical training or equivalent in communications and networks
  • 6+ years’ experience with military and defense communications and networks
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Desired certifications in IPC-610 and 620 or equivalent military standards
  • Have proficiency in the use of electronic and mechanical tools
  • RF and electrical test equipment and measurements experience
  • Ability to read and work with schematics and wiring diagrams, as well as mechanical
  • Proficient in MS Office and Windows-based applications
  • Occasional domestic and international travel will be required
