The U.S. Ambassador to South Africa, the Honorable Patrick H. Gaspard, visited the WGS Systems booth at the Africa Aerospace and Defense 2016 Exposition in Pretoria, South Africa.  The Ambassador came to the US Pavilion at AAD 2016 and personally welcomed each of the U.S. companies participating.

WGS Systems Business Development Manager, Bob Gillette, welcomed Ambassador Gaspard to the WGS booth.  The two discussed Rhino poaching and contraband trafficking in South Africa and the African continent at large.  “The Ambassador and I shared our mutual concerns about the dwindling Rhino population at the hands of poachers”, said Gillette.  “Ambassador Gaspard expressed the urgent need for the ISR capability WGS Systems can provide and promised to assist the South African government in any way he can in facilitating access to WGS Systems technology in an effort to stop the poachers.”

WGS participated in the AAD 2016 Expo from September 14 – 17, 2016 as part of the Maryland Department of Commerce pavilion.
