WGS Systems employees recently teamed up to continue the tradition of raising funds and collecting toys for the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots annual charity event. Their annual Chili Cookoff raises awareness for the charity and fundraising program through some healthy competition.
With employees preparing recipes from all over the United States, the WGS Chili Cookoff has become a highly anticipated event over the years. Participating cooks and judges donate money to become eligible for the competition and use cash to load up votes for their favorite chili. The event is held at the end of their collection campaign so everyone brings toys to top them off.
In addition to a box chock full of toys, the team contributed over $250 for the program. Employee Bob Luke won the chili cook-off and will have the honor of having his name engraved on the trophy and possession of the trophy for the year.
