WGS Systems employees recently teamed up to raise funds and collect toys for the U. S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots annual charity event.  WGS held a Chili Cookoff and a multi-week Fitness Challenge to raise awareness for the charity and boost donations through a little bit of healthy competition.

For the chili cookoff, challengers prepared over 10 different type of chili for the event.  The entry fee for challengers and judges was either a toy or donation to Toys for Tots.  For the fitness challenge employees competed to see how many miles they could run, walk, or bike each week.  Those falling short of the weekly goal made a donation to the Toys for Tots.  Over the course of the events, WGS collected a box of toys and raised over $400.00.

For the third year in a row the winner of the Chili Cookoff was WGS Director of Engineering LB Belella with his multi-meat spicy chili.  Rob Lazorchak won the fitness challenge running away with the mileage on a weekly basis.  WGS would like to thank the USMC for its annual dedication to providing for children across the country during this season.

Happy Holidays from the employees of WGS Systems!
